ESTABLISHING A BUDGET

Establishing a budget should start by determining your total monthly income and subtracting any fixed expenses. Keep in mind, most rentals will require that you meet the 3x rule, your monthly income must be three times the monthly rent. It's important to also consider other factors that may affect your budget, such as utilities and transportation costs. Once you have established a budget, you can use it to help you find a rental home that fits within your financial means.

NEGOTIATION & SIGNING

This typically involves negotiations over the rental price, length of the rental period, and any additional terms or conditions. Once both parties have reached an agreement, they will sign a rental contract or lease agreement, which outlines the terms of the rental and serves as a legally binding document. It is important for both parties to understand the terms of the agreement before signing to ensure all concerns and needs are addressed.
